- I purchased these in 4 colors (leap of faith!) and I really like them. They aren't exceptionally heavy but they're great for layering which is what I was looking for! The knit is not as tight as cotton... BTW - the label says 100% polyester... the wider knit makes them more breathable but less warm I believe. I gave this item 4 stars for this reason, I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't polyester! At any rate, I'm happy with them, the colors are vibrant and nice and my 6 month old seems comfy in them! I dressed him in one of these with short sleeves over it a few days ago and the temp went from 46 to 70 degrees durring the day here in Fort Collins CO. I ended up having him just wear the short sleeves but in the interm he didn't get sweaty. I also got one size larger (12 months) and fold the sleeves up. These will be great on "cool" summer nights!
